Utseende: Tät, djupt röd färg med röd kant.

Doft: Stor, fruktig och angenäm doft med toner av plommon, cassis och lite rostade fat.

Smak: Smaken är ungdomlig, fruktig men något återhållen, medelfyllig, med sandiga tanniner, bra syra och toner av plommon, cassis, ceder och en aning tobak i ett långt, stramt slut.

Decanter - 91 p - "Deep and quite intense in terms of fruit concentration but the texture remains quite direct and linear, smooth and well integrated tannins with oak spicing that gives the palate edges and a frame. It does expand but keeps a tension to the elements, not yet settling and calming down. Just feels a bit young still."

Jane Anson - 93 p - "Inky colour, sinewy muscular tannins, cassis fruits, cocoa bean, rich and nuanced dark fruits, peppered with turmeric spice and crushed rocks, proving yet again why this is a Médoc wine that any serious Bordeaux lover should get to know. Still very much in its primary, almost en primeur phase, but has all the necessary ingredients to soften over next two to three years, and to age for many more, with old school Left Bank signature."

Neal Martin - 91 p - "The 2020 Clos Manou, one-third aged in concrete, has closed wn a little after bottle, yet still, it has a gorgeous bouquet with red berry fruit, blood orange and subtile sous-bois aromas. The palate is mediumbodied with tannins that have firmed up since I tasted this from barrel – rendering a more “serious” Médoc that will require a little more aging than I estimated. Very fine."

Antonio Galloni - 92 p - "The 2020 Clos Manou is an opulent, flamboyant wine, just as it was en primeur. A rush of black cherry jam, chocolate, new leather, spice and sweet oak, satures the palate. All the elements are so wellbalanced in a 2020 that is irresistible, even now."

William Kelley - 92 p - "The 2020 Clos Manou has turned out brilliantly. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of dark berries, plumes spices and licorice, it's medium to full-bodied, with a deep core of vibrant fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins, concluding with a long, violet-inflected finish. Seamlessly constructed, it's a terrific example of haute couture winemaking that would embarrass numerous classified growths. 2025-2055"

Jeb Dunnuck - 91 p - "It has an incrdible sense of minerality and almost salinity to go with impressive red and black fruits, notes of smoked tobacco and flowers, medium to full body, and integrated acidity. It’s clearly an outstanding wine that’s going to offer loads of pleasure over the coming decade or so."
