Côte-Rôtie Lancement
Lancement är ett av de främsta lägena på Côte Blonde, ett vingårdsläge allra högst upp på sluttningen ovanför Ampuis. Lancement handlar helt och hållet om komplexitet och elegans, snarare än kraft och uppumpade fat.
En mycket brant vingård som ger en slank och elegant, härlig Côte-Rôtie med måttliga 12,5 % alkohol, ett ursprungstypiskt vin med kryddiga toner av björnbär, hallon, vitpeppar och örter.
Garon har en lott på 0,45 ha med stockar planterade i slutet av 80-talet. Det är en tredjedel hela klasar med i musten. Vinet får macerera i ca 25 dagar med sporadiska överpumpningar och enstaka nedtryckningar av skalhatten. Vinet får sedan vila 18 månader på 228 liters Bourgognefat, varav en fjärdedel nya fat, och det genomgår malolaktisk jäsning på faten. Det genomgår varken klarning eller filtrering.
Servera gärna i stora syrahglas vid ca 16-18 °C, till eleganta rätter av lamm, nöt eller vilt.

Doft: Härlig kryddig och fruktig doft med toner av nejlika, lagerblad och björnbär.
Smak: Smaken är underbar, generös, kryddig och fruktig, med sandiga tanniner, bra syra och toner av hallon, björnbär, körsbär, nejlika och lagerblad.

Decanter - 96 p - "A very classic Côte-Blonde nose that’s lifted and fragrant, with gently earthy and floral notes and a touch of tobacco from the oak, which is well integrated and not excessive. Medium-bodied and very pure with great silkiness on the palate; a beautifully textured and balanced wine. It shows great line, precision and length."

The palate streams off well from the attack, its flow engaging, the feel nicely silken, the tannins polished and well within. It’s more complete than the Les Rochins 2021, has better balance and filling, the length attractive, is a restrained, elegant Rôtie. 12.5°. Drink from 2026 to 2046."

Jeb Dunnuck - 97 p - "The 2022 Côte-Rôtie Lancement is truly beautiful. This terroir rarely produces the greatest or richest Côte-Rôties, and this one shines with its balance and finesse, offering fragrant red and black fruits, spring flowers, baking spices, and hints of forest floor and charcuterie. This medium- to full-bodied wine displays perfect overall balance, a lovely, pure, layered palate, fine tannins, and a beautiful finish. Give it a few years and drink it through 2042."
John Learmonth-Livingstone - 4,5/5 - "Dark red; the nose has a soft and potentially stylish air of blackberry with floral undertones. The palate is impressive, textured purrs along, gives a good welling up of dark red berry juice, with spring in the tannins, a good plethora of prompts, with class in its tone. There is a very good nose-palate link here. It is 30% whole bunch, with a late gain in texture from that. Proper good Rôtie here, is not far off *****. Drink from 2028 to 2053."
